Drive Safely
When driving in an enclosed 1.5 million square foot area through which hundreds of trucks come and go every day, its easy to ascertain that worker safety is by far the most important issue. Keeping this in mind, the directors of the new Canadian Tire Distribution Centre for stores in Eastern Canada didnt skimp; they asked SAIC to design a complete safety and vehicle access signage program.
The deadline given to complete this project was a major challenge in itself. Designing, manufacturing and installing an assortment of 150 different products for a total of over 1,000 items required us to use our most sophisticated management and production techniques. Communication also played an important role, as it was necessary to coordinate all aspects of the project in order to meet this very tight deadline.
